Is photography allowed in the Smithsonian Museum?Still and video photography is permitted only in the museum and exhibitions for noncommercial use. However, the use of tripods, monopods, and selfie sticks is not permitted to ensure the safety of other visitors and collections. If you are a working member of the media and need to use a tripod or monopod, you must take permission from the museum's Press Office and should be escorted by a museum staff member.
